My wish is to help you live the life you wish to live.
I bring 20 years’ mindfulness practice and up-to-date training in somatic and mindfulness-based therapy to our counselling relationship. I hold a space of compassion, curiosity, and presence that allows for your innate wisdom to arise. I am a BC registered clinical counsellor (#15926), and hold a bachelor’s degree in Contemplative Psychology and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling both from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. My education taught me how to use mindfulness and present moment, body-centered awareness to help you access and transform past wounds and limiting beliefs.
In addition to my degree, I have training in PACT (psychobiological approach to couple therapy) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. PACT uses experiential techniques to reveal and adjust hard-wired beliefs about relationship. It can help you grow your ability to regulate your and your partner’s nervous system (calming from states of anxiety, anger, dissociation, etc.) in order to be closer and have a more satisfying relationship. As a PACT therapist, I teach couples what behaviors promote security and connection instead of acting out of self-protection. IFS applies system thinking to the individual—uncovering internal battles and competing agendas to allow for resolution, harmony, and balance in the psyche. Often times, contracted, wounded parts of us take over in our relationships and lives. IFS has taught me how to help people contact their inner wisdom and self compassion in the face of the most difficult life circumstances, inner states, and relationship challenges. Upsets become opportunities for healing as this core of care in you is increasingly available.
I would be honored to embark on the journey of conscious wholeness with you.
